WELL VERY city hotel - views from the windows - if you're lucky - neighboring roofs, if not - a window to a nearby restaurant for tables and waiters. Well, by the way, they don’t go to Amsterdam to sit in a hotel. The hotel is located on the same Varmostraat, where at any time of the day it smells of burnt marijuana, sex shops are mixed with pizzerias, and red lights are 50 meters around the corner. Central Station, Damarka and Dam Square are 5 minutes walk away. You will not starve, and Russian speech in cafes probably sounds more often than others. Moreover, the ElluBike office, 20 meters from the hotel, will allow you to explore Amsterdam in a day or two, moving without any "hopon-hopoff" buses, although they are very close.
I don’t know why you are going to this ancient and incredibly beautiful city, but personally I would advise you to take a bike and ride along the canals of Amsterdam. Personally, I was struck by the incredible tranquility of the people and the place. Probably, I think so, outside the tourist madness like the "red light district" Amsterdam is a very pleasant city for living, although cramped from medieval buildings, but very friendly to people. In the new quarters, the feeling "people are comfortable here" intensifies : -) Would I choose a hotel-ss again?
probably yes, by no means the only and not the most pretentious but quite pleasant accommodation
