Good hotel in a cozy city. NH Maastricht 4*
On the way to Amsterdam, I decided to stop in Maastricht. A clean and cozy town that I would recommend to visit.
It is fundamentally different from Amsterdam. Here you will not see any "red lights" or marijuana dealers. Everything is so clean and sedate.
Beautiful "old town". Very cozy.
The hotel chose NH Maastricht 4 * (formerly Golden Tulip). Very, very good hotel. Full 4 *.
Advantages:
1) Large and bright rooms with good beds and other furniture. Large and well equipped bathroom.
2) Quiet place away from city noise.
3) Good breakfasts.
Disadvantages:
The relative disadvantages include some remoteness from the center.
The station is 20 minutes on foot (near the railway station). To the center 40 min. on foot or 10 min by bus (stop in front of the hotel).
Lack of nearby shops (LIDL supermarket 10 minutes walk) and restaurants (except for the hotel).
