The National Historical Museum is one of the best museums in Albania, located on Skanderbeg Square in Tirana. The unique exposition reflects all milestones of the country's history from the Paleolithic era to our times. More than 5,000 exhibits are presented in 8 pavilions of the museum.
The Antiquity Pavilion is dedicated to the history of Albania from the Paleolithic period to the collapse of the Roman Empire. The Ethnographic Pavilion houses artifacts found in the tombs of Selk and dating back to the 3rd century BC. The iconography pavilion, which presents 65 works by the best icon painters of the 18th and 19th centuries. Pavilion of the Middle Ages - exhibits that tell about the history of Albania until the 15th century, as well as pavilions of the Albanian Renaissance, independence and Albanian anti-fascism.

One of the best museums in Albania

A visit to the National Museum of the History of Albania is worth at least in order to be imbued with respect for the people of this country. Indeed, the history of Albania is very amazing. The exposition is very capacious, informative and interesting. If I am in Albania again, I will definitely visit this museum again. The only drawback is the lack of signs in Russian. For those who do not know English well, this is very inconvenient.→
