In 1589, the city council handed over to the local Franciscan monks the ruins of the burned monastery of St. Jerome, which was founded in 1383-1387 at the cemetery. The Franciscans restored the church in the Renaissance style with Gothic elements. Construction work was carried out from 1603 to 1611, but was mostly completed in 1607. Interior design lasted until 1720. The church is not too big - 65 by 20 meters, the width of the nave - 12 meters. The interior is designed in the Baroque style with Rococo elements.
