The Goethe Monument, unveiled in 1900, is located at the corner of Ringstrasse and Goethe Gas in Vienna, a city where the artist himself has never been. The author of the monument is the sculptor Edmund Helmer. Today we can see on a high pedestal the bronze figure of the great artist, whose work is known throughout the world. Helmer portrayed a man sitting in a spacious chair with a tired, pensive, and distant gaze.→
