The monument to Alexander II is located on the People's Assembly Square. The "Monument to the Tsar Liberator", as the Bulgarians call it, has been standing here since 1907. The monument to the Russian Tsar faces the Bulgarian Parliament. On the monument there is an inscription: “Bulgaria is grateful to the Tsar Liberator”. Such is the monument of recognition.→
