Sugar Loaf - one of the main attractions of Rio de Janeiro - a mountain towering 396 meters above the Guanabara Bay. The unusual shape of the mountain is associated with long-term weathering of the surface igneous rocks that make up its structure. To climb to the top of the Sugar Loaf, you can use the cable car, opened in 1912. During the ascent, an intermediate stop is provided for changing the trailer, on Mount Urka. On Mount Umka there is a concert and entertainment complex Consha Verde. From the observation deck at the top of the Sugar Loaf, you can enjoy stunning views of the city, beaches, sea, Statue of Christ. Every weekend from mid-November to February, the Carioca Nights festival is held here with the participation of popular Brazilian artists.
