The Pearl River is the third longest river in China. It passes through Guangzhou, dividing the city into northern and southern parts. Since ancient times, pearls have been mined on the river, thanks to which it was nicknamed the Pearl River. Along Zhujiang there are many city attractions, the main of which is the Canton Tower, the symbol of Guangzhou. Night cruises on the river are especially popular with guests of the city.
