Lara beach

turtle beach
Cyprus, Paphos
Lara Beach is located in a bay on the Akamas Peninsula in the southern part of Cyprus, in the Paphos region. Since here the Mediterranean and loggerhead turtles lay their eggs in the sand, the beach is called "Turtle". Nests with turtle eggs are fenced with metal nets to protect against foxes and crabs, as well as from too curious people. Swimming and sunbathing are allowed on the beach, but it is forbidden to place umbrellas and sun loungers in the sand. There is also a research station for monitoring the population of turtles. Those wishing to learn more about the animal world can look at the turtles in the station's aquariums. The entrance to the sea is smooth here, which allows you to relax with your children.
