A monument to Czechoslovak servicemen who served in the Royal Air Force (RAF) of Great Britain during World War II was erected in 2014 in a small park at the foot of the hill where Prague Castle is located. The two-meter bronze lion was created by British sculptor Colin Spoffort and cast in a Czech workshop. The ceremony was attended by eight veterans, Czechs and Slovaks who fought in the Royal Air Force, as well as the grandson of Winston Churchill, former British Defense Secretary Nicholas Soames.
