The Czech Republic honors the heroes of the Three Resistances. The First Resistance was the struggle against Austria for an independent Czechoslovakia, the Second Resistance fought the Nazis, and the Third the Communists. The dates of 1938-1945 are given in golden numbers. On a dark plaque is the inscription "Stop in honor of the victims and winners of the Second Resistance of the Czech People for the Freedom of their Motherland. "
