Prague State Opera

The Prague State Opera is located next to the building of the National Theater on Vilsonova Street, next to the Museum metro station. The opera house was built in 1883 in the Neo-Renaissance style, designed by Karl von Hasenauer. The goddess statues that adorn the entrance to the opera were created by sculptors Otto Menzel and Johann Friedt. The Opera House specializes in staging only foreign works; its repertoire also includes ballet.

Amazing place
I liked the Opera House, the inside is very beautiful and tastefully decorated. The opera was also very pleasantly impressed, the acoustics are good. I also liked that there is a text translation. And yet, it is better to book tickets in advance, otherwise you may encounter their absence or not very good places, since tickets for some performances are sold out weeks before the performance.→

Delightful spectacle and acoustics
The opera, at first glance, is small, but the concert hall is just perfect. The architectural design is a faithful copy of the opera in Vienna, only smaller. Rich railings, balcony plaster - all this is an example of the style and preferences of people in Prague. I was lucky to see a breathtaking spectacle to the accompaniment of works by A. Dvorak, and as a musician, I can say that it was great. Very good work of singers and orchestra. I was also surprised by the ticket price - 290 kroons.→
