Wenceslas Square is one of the most famous and largest city squares in the world, the main center of the New Place in Prague. The site of many historical events, a traditional place for demonstrations, festivities and social gatherings. The shopping and business center of Prague, where there are large hotels, shops and cafes. The area is named after St. Wenceslas, Prince of Bohemia, heavenly patron of the country.

Heart of the New City

There are no old historic buildings here, but those built in the 19th and 20th centuries are masterpieces of the best Czech architects. This is the heart of the New City, which is more like a boulevard, as its length is 750 meters. Wenceslas Square in Prague is the center of city life, there are shops, restaurants, hotels, museums, in general, everything that attracts tourists and Prague.→

For lovers of large squares and urban architecture

The square is always crowded, such a "party" place in the city. In winter, one of the numerous Prague Christmas markets unfolds here. In the summer, various open-air exhibitions of contemporary art are held here. If you like to send postcards home from different countries - the Main Post Office of Prague is located on one of the streets branching off from Wenceslas Square, just a few meters from it.→
