Castle Detenice

The baroque castle of Detenice is located in the village of Detenice in the Jicin district in the Czech Republic. The castle was founded in the late XIII - early XIV century. Over the course of several centuries, it was sold and restored several times. Currently, Detenice Castle belongs to the Ondrachkov family and is open to the public all year round.

For the gullible.
I do not really like to visit various restaurant and folklore programs for the mass tourist. Usually they are made in haste, the artists are not professionals, and the food leaves much to be desired! So it was with the trip to Detinets. Strictly speaking, this is not quite a castle, more a country house in the hunting grounds of an aristocrat. There are weapons, animal heads. Everything is very carefully either preserved or restored, well, sometimes papier-mâ ché . After a tour of the palace, we go to a nearby brewery.→

Lovers of entertainment and delicious food.
Prague. A lot has been written and told about Prague. I want to share my impressions about visiting Detenice Castle. The castle is located 45 km from Prague. They took us there in the evening by bus. Dinner is preceded by an interesting and informative tour of the castle. The castle is large, many rooms and halls. Several generations of Czech rulers lived in it. We had a good guide, told a lot of new, interesting and not boring at all. Then dinner and performance. Delicious food and beer fade into the background as the performance is breathtaking.→
