Berlin Wall Museum

Museum House at Checkpoint Charlie, Mauermuseum – Museum Haus am Checkpoint Charlie
Germany, Berlin
The Berlin Wall Museum is an important legacy of the history of the Cold War. It was founded in 1963 by the German publicist and historian Rainer Hildebrandt. The apartment in which the museum was located was located near the checkpoint Checkpoint Charlie, which separated the East and West Germany. The main concept of the museum is a chronicle of the flight of people from East Germany to West. The museum contains many archival photographs, documents, various installations, paintings, sculptures and rare evacuation vehicles.
