The BMW headquarters and museum are located in the northern part of the city. The 101-meter building of the headquarters of the automobile corporation was built in 1972. It resembles a giant four-cylinder engine. The BMW Museum, also opened in 1972, looks like a cylinder head. It is dedicated to the history of this auto concern; many models of cars and motorcycles are exhibited here.
