And it was like that. We really wanted to go on an excursion to the Colored Canyon. But the hotel guide, from whom we originally planned to take a tour, said that at the moment this is not possible, since it had recently rained and the road was washed out. We didn't believe him. Then it was my second time in Egypt, and for my companions - the first. And, accordingly, we had not so much information about the country. It seemed to us that there could be no rain in Egypt by definition. So we went to a street agency and asked them for this tour. We were happy to sell. In the morning a jeep pulled up behind us. We, a young couple from Russia and a couple of foreign homosexuals (as it seemed to me) were taken to the desert. On the way we stopped at a Bedouin village. A foreign couple bought something resembling a kropalik from local residents there. And one Bedouin climbed onto the roof of our jeep. The guide said that this is our guide. After that, we were given a "jeep safari".
The seats in the jeep were opposite each other along the side. We were thrown at each other. My bidola partner was pretty sick after yesterday's multiple double whiskeys at dinner, and he barely restrained the urge to vomit. How the Bedouin didn't fall off the roof is a mystery. Finally we were brought to the canyon. There was another jeep with a group of Italians. I really liked the canyon, but its passage was associated with considerable difficulties. A rather overweight Italian couple could not even enter the canyon, because they had to first climb onto a stone shelf more than a meter high. Then we had to go down to the bottom along an almost sheer chute. Here the nerves of a very young Italian woman could not stand it. Her knees trembled, and she roared like a beluga, but in the end the guide managed to let her down. There were no problems with the rest. After the canyon, we were taken to Dahab, where we were fed lunch and given time to dive.
There was the famous Blue Hole, but we were ill-informed about this and did not take with us neither fins nor a mask. However, flippers could be rented, but we were greedy. With difficulty we managed to plunge, the bottom was strewn with hedgehogs, and we did not take corals either. A Russian couple from our group did dive, but they said it was nothing special. In addition, while they were diving, their flip flops were taken away. In general, we liked everything. The only thing is that later, comparing my photos with those on the Internet, I found some differences. In addition, according to the program announced by the tour operator, after the canyon they were supposed to be delivered not to Dahab at all, but to Nuweiba. So we remained in the dark about where we really were. If anyone in the know knows the pics, please let me know. It's interesting!
