Like any tourist town, L'Isle-sur-la Sorgue has its own feature - these are huge water wheels. The fact is that in the Middle Ages, silk and woolen factories were actively built and developed here. It is a greeting from that industrial past that water wheels serve. By the way, they have not been used for their intended purpose for a long time and perform only a decorative function. Guidebooks claim that once there were about 70 wheels in the city. Only 9 have survived to this day. Can you find them all? : ).→
