Luxembourg Palace

Palais de Luxembourg
France, Paris
The Luxembourg Palace was built in the first half of the 17th century by Salomon de Brosse for Marie de Medici in the Jardin du Luxembourg. The interior decoration of the palace was carried out by the famous Rubens. The Luxembourg Palace has a rich history: at various times there were residences of kings and emperors, a prison, and now the Senate is located here.

I, as a fan of Florence, could not ignore the palace of Maria Medici, which is so reminiscent of the Florentine palazzo. Today, the French Senate is located here, so it is very difficult to see inside the palace itself (not a museum), by appointment once a month (see the website of the Senate), or you are lucky to be in Paris on cultural heritage days, then it is also open to the public.
