The statue of Damaskinos Papandreou is placed on a small square opposite the Metropolitan Church of Athens. This is a robot by sculptor Fanis Sakellariou. The statue of Archbishop Damaskinos was made in 1991 in bronze and depicts the archbishop holding the pastoral staff in his left hand, with his right raised in a gesture of blessing. On the faç ade of the pedestal there are words in Greek and English: DAMASCINES, ARCHBISHOP OF ATHENS AND ALL GREECE 1891 – 1949 On the left side of the pedestal it is written: UNDER THE CHURALITY OF THE ARCHBISHOP OF ATHENS AND ALL HELLAS SERAPHIM, THE HOLY SYNOD IN 1991 OF THE ROCIO CONTROVERSED THE MISTSE OF POSHANIYA AND VYEDACYNESS.→
