Crete Botanical Park was opened in 2009, is located near Chania and covers an area of ​​about 20 hectares. In the botanical garden, you can get acquainted with both samples of local flora and fauna, as well as representatives of the subtropical and tropical climate. Tropical and fruit trees, citrus groves, herbs and vineyards, Brazilian pepper trees and avocados grow here. At the entrance to the park there is a small restaurant with local cuisine, using organic products grown in the same area in cooking.

Beautiful place
This park struck me to the core with a variety of tree species that coexist with each other in such a relatively small area. Here are tangerine trees, and plums, and figs, and shrubs, and trees unknown to me "from a fairy tale", overgrown with moss. The park is located on a mountain slope, so there is an opportunity to admire the views of Crete. For fauna lovers, the park has a pond with birds and a mini zoo. But I'm still more interested in flora, so mountain goats and peacocks didn't impress me much.→

For nature lovers
Of course it's beautiful. Of course, here the plants are more impressive and easier to care for. They are, one might say, at home. Of course, a park in excellent condition can impress even the most sophisticated visitor. Highly recommend in between morning and evening sunbathing→

Terribly liked it here!
The only negative of the park is the almost complete lack of shade (stock up on hats), but otherwise - this is a magical place! Around the mountain, which is not only beautiful, but also functional - protects the gardens from the winds. Here are fruit trees and spices (which surprised and liked) and simply beautiful plants. Super!→
