Typography Museum

Museum of Typography
Greece, Chania
The Printing House Museum was opened in 2005 and is located in the vicinity of the city of Chania, near the village of Nerokouros. The museum's collection includes printing equipment, machines and tools that show the development of printing from the time of the first European typographer Johannes Gutenberg to the present day. A tour of the history of printing begins in the main hall of the museum with a copy of the Gutenberg press and cast-iron presses from the early 19th century. The library contains rare books and newspapers, lithographs, and a small collection of Greek stamps dedicated to printing.

An excellent museum with a lot of valuable and interesting exhibits to view, the tour is very complete and lively. Lots of posters, cars. Even if you have never been interested in this topic, you will like it here. Excursions for local schoolchildren and students are constantly held here. The museum is gaining popularity only now, because the young one was opened in 2012.
