Elafonisi Beach is located 75 km from Chania, in the southwestern part of Crete. The beach is famous for its velvety sand, mostly white, but there are pink placers along the coastline. The sea here is shallow, and therefore very warm and clean. The beach is equipped with sun loungers and umbrellas, several bars and shops are located a couple of hundred meters away.

beautiful beach
The beach is equipped, but not all. There are quite secluded places where couples walk. On the equipped part, everything is of high quality and clean. Great place if you are with small children.→

Far from civilization
You need to go to this place only with your own food, water and all the necessary things, because the beach does not provide cafes or restaurants-catering places. The beach is remote from any residential facilities. Despite this, there are many people here. Very shallow so the water is hot like tea! You should not go here for the whole day, but having a nice picnic early in the morning is very good.→
