Beach and bay of Balos

The beach and bay of Balos is the place where three seas meet, where the Cretan, Mediterranean and Ionian seas meet. The bay is located near the Gramvous peninsula, in the northwestern part of Crete. The bottom in this place is completely sandy, the sand is mostly white, in some places with pink patches. To the north of Balos Bay, on Cape Korikon, are the ruins of the small ancient Roman city of Agnion with the temple of the god Apollo.

Great place if you go without a tour
Ballos Bay is really a chic place, I really wanted to visit it there. We ordered an excursion, we were brought to the bay on a big ship with a bunch of tourists. And when all this mass of people descended into the bay, the protected, beautiful place turned into a crowd of people floundering in shallow water. To get great pleasure from this place, I recommend taking a jeep and going there on your own, the road and the descent to the bay are very difficult, but you will discover indescribable beauty and unforgettable impressions to stay for a long time.→

One of the brightest excursions in Crete is Balos Bay and Gramvousa Island at a price of 45 euros. In the bay of Balos, if you go up to the observation deck, you can see a sea of ​ ​ different colors. It is said that it is at this place that the three seas merge. There is pink sand. But to climb the mountain, oh, how hard, I reached halfway. But on the island of Gramvousa, I still climbed the fortress and from there a breathtaking view opened up. It was worth it ))).→
