Banknote Museum

Banknote Museum, Money Museum
Greece, Corfu
The collection of the Banknote Museum, located in the city of Corfu, includes an almost complete collection of Greek banknotes from 1822 to the present, which is about 2000 copies. In addition to the currency of Greece itself, the collection also includes copies of the united European currency euro, which replaced the Greek national currency - the drachma, and to which Greece, along with other European countries, switched in 2002. The museum's collection is considered one of the most complete of its kind in the world.

When you enter this museum, it will take your breath away. Very interesting and educational! There are many bank documents, checks, seals, photographs, coins. One of the halls shows the process of creating watermarks on paper. Art exhibitions are held on the second floor. I'm very glad I got there.
