The visit to Mycenae begins with the tomb of Agamemnon. It's cool and dark inside, a little uncomfortable. The entrance to the treasury is down the ramp (as in the Egyptian tombs of the Valley of the Kings) - and you find yourself under a high stone vault, made only of blocks that are held together by the power of the Earth ...Perhaps this is the only thing you can see there, because the tomb is empty, and everything that was found in it is in the Archaeological Museum of Mycenae.
