Petaloudes Valley - Butterfly Valley - one of the most famous attractions of the island of Rhodes. Thousands of butterflies of the bear family flock to the valley from the end of May, after the onset of the dry season, attracted by moisture and coolness, as well as the smell of styraxes. Due to the influx of tourists, the butterfly population is now under threat.

Beautiful, very beautiful. Butterflies are just an incredible amount, innumerable! True, they are all the same, there is no diversity of some kind. You have to pay 5 euros for entry, and a fine for touching butterflies is 50 euros.

It is worth seeing the valley itself at any time of the year: it is insanely beautiful here and it seems as if you are in the jungle. But if you want to see a colony of butterflies, you need to come in July-August. Located near the airport, 30 minutes drive. It was the last place we looked before the airport. And it left a lasting impression
