Cafe Gerbeau

Cafe Gerbeaud
Hungary, Budapest
Café Gerbaud is one of the most famous cafes in Budapest. Opened in 1858 by Henrik Kugler, the patisserie immediately became popular in the city. Later, Emile Gerbaud bought the confectionery, expanded it and supplemented it with new products. The confectionery belonged to the Gerbaud family until the Second World War, after which it was nationalized. Since 1995, Café Gerbeaud has been owned by German entrepreneur Erwin Franz Müller.

The convenient location of this cafe, next to Veresmarty Square and the advertisements of the guides will definitely attract your attention. Once upon a time there were the most delicious cakes in Budapest. They are delicious, as are coffee and other desserts, but desserts are just as good in other places in Budapest! By the way, there are not only desserts, but also other cuisine. If they say that they are the most expensive, don't believe them either. The most expensive cake on the menu cost 700 forints.
