While staying at the Casa Vagator hotel, the closest thing we had to do was walk to Vagator Beach. Which is what we did for the first couple of days. But having crossed over the ridge of stones and hitting Chapora Beach for the first time, we were amazed at the difference between the beaches located so close to each other.

Long, slightly curved, relatively wide coastline with clean white sand. A lot of local tourists, many of whom saw the ocean for the first time in their lives. Their veal delight. Indifference on the muzzles of calves, cows and bulls whose wild herds periodically go to the beach in search of food. The absence of sheiks on the shore. Local patrons come out to sit on the beach or just go for a run with the dog. Corporate groups in identical uniforms, obviously brought here as an encouragement or to strengthen the team. The ruins of a fort standing on a mountain and watching this picture for centuries ...All this makes Chapora beach unique and unlike other beaches.
The water is indescribably cleaner than on the beach in Vagator. The current in the ocean is smaller, most often along the coast, and due to the length of the beach, it is not as dangerous as in the same Vagator. Lifeguards are on duty on the beach and prevent the locals from entering the ocean deeper than their waist. Even with relatively minor excitement, the locals are not allowed to enter the ocean at all. This does not apply to tourists. In 10 days, we only once saw a local who came with a group who knew how to swim. The rescuer whistled at him several times, waving his arms, and then called his elder on the radio. He apparently summoned the head of the group - a peasant of a state-owned appearance in a plain light-colored tennis shirt. And the three of them, pulling this swimmer out of the sea, began to work on him exactly as in the 70s they would have worked on a Soviet tourist who got, say, from Kryzhopl to Varna and was caught there swimming naked under the moon with an Englishwoman.
In general, India reminded me very much of the USSR. Starting from uniform prices indicated on goods, "railroad workers' rest houses", general poverty and ending with the observation of these groups.
Climbing the steps to the mountain on the right side of the beach (with your back to the ocean) you get to a small market where you can buy everything you need not to die of thirst or hunger.

Having mastered the steep path uphill on the left side of the beach, you get to Chapora Fort. I must say right away: the track is not pleasant. I do not recommend this for people who are overweight or have health problems without a need or an ardent desire.
