We lived near Kronplatz, in San Vigilio di Marebbe, and for one day we went to Arabba, which is relatively close. From Arabba you can ski around the Sella Ronda, or you can go over the mountain to the top of Marmolada (3250). We did not decide on Ronda, but “Marmelado”, as the child dubbed it, was the very thing.

Free parking in Arabba was found significantly above the ski lifts, to the right of the road. Arabba, like Corvara, seems to be a very cozy place to live. Living between two mountains is a dream.

Arabba itself has fast lifts and great long runs. Large elevation difference, and many flat areas. But we aspired to Marmolada, so we learned about it only in the evening. The whole way there and back took more than 3 hours, but it was very interesting.

To get to the ascent to Marmolada (at Malga Ciapella) from Arabba, you need to overcome a mountain valley. The valley is very beautiful.
In addition to the views, there is another attraction in this valley - this is a steam chair without a soft seat! I don't remember seeing one like this anywhere else in the Alps, but here there are two of them.

The second challenge is the 2.5 km blue run that leads to Malga Ciapella. Moreover, if all the blue slopes are once again divided by difficulty into black, red and blue, then this one would again be blue. While skiing along it, you can not only call friends and parents, but also have time to write a review on TurPravda : -)

The third test is the lift to the top, with a height difference of 1800 meters. Moreover, the lift is modern and fast, you just have time to “blow through” so that your ears do not lay!

And the fourth test is to leave there in time to get to your car in Arabba!

But the Arabba itself is very worthy of attention.
Around the fast main lifts #1 and #2 there are some excellent red and black runs with a good drop of almost 900 meters. Here you could ride all day, and on the second you would want to continue. I really hope that we will come back here again.
