Palazzo Spini Ferroni

Palazzo Spini Feroni
Italy, Florence
The Spini Feroni Palace is located in Piazza Santa Trinita and was built in 1289 for the wealthy banker Geri Spina. At the time, it was the largest private palace in Florence, the only one that could rival Palazzo Vecchio. Later, due to financial difficulties, the palace was sold to the Marquis Feroni, under whose direction the building was renovated and decorated with a series of frescoes by Bernardino Possetti. Now the palace houses a museum of the Italian shoe designer Salvatore Ferragamo.
