We wandered into Savello Park by accident, walked from the Colosseum to the Vatican, climbed the Aventine Hill and ended up in the park. I like this wonderful feature in Rome - wherever you go, you will always come to some sight, and along the way you can still see a lot of unusual and beautiful things.
Savello Park is one of the romantic places in Rome and it is located on the Aventine Hill. It is one of the favorite places of the Roman inhabitants, because there are practically no tourists here. Couples in love come here, families with children like to relax here, wedding ceremonies are often held here - the garden is a wonderful and suitable place for photo shoots.
Stunning panoramas of Rome open from the observation deck. Views of the Tiber River and the Vatican are admirable, a charming picture opens up on Trastevere. There are a large number of walking paths, and each of them leads either to some sculptures, or to buildings and basilicas.
And nearby is a rose garden where you can admire and enjoy the beauty of roses. In December, unfortunately, the rose garden was closed.
Once on the site of the park there was a fortress of the noble Italian Savelli family, which is why the park was named Savello Park. Unfortunately, the fortress has not survived to this day. The inhabitants of Rome call the park Savello the Orange Garden. This is all because the garden itself is planted with wild orange trees, the fragrance of which spreads throughout the garden. Oranges taste bitter, so they are not eaten, but trees with oranges smell and look great.
The photos turn out great, however, you can see for yourself.
