The Jordanian Archaeological Museum is located in the Fortress Mountain near the ruins of the Roman Temple of Hercules. It was founded in 1951. The museum presents expositions that tell about various eras from the ancient Paleolithic to the present. The most famous exhibits of the museum are plaster statues, which are about 6 thousand years old, as well as the Aramaic copper scroll of the Dead Sea.
