The King Abdullah I Mosque is located in the center of the city. It was built in 1989 and named after the first king of Jordan. The mosque has an impressive bright blue dome with a diameter of 35 meters, decorated with quotations from the Koran. It is the only mosque in the city where non-Muslim visitors are allowed to enter.
