The Tokyo National Museum is located at the northern end of Ueno Park. This is the largest and oldest museum in the country, it was founded in 1872. The museum consists of five buildings and has more than 120 thousand exhibits of the most diverse subjects - paintings, sculptures, calligraphy, ceramics, ancient weapons, precious metal products, archaeological finds, and more.
