There is only one Prince's Palace in Monaco, despite the wealth and luxury of the country itself. This is rather because for more than seven hundred years the principality has been ruled by one dynasty - the Grimaldi, which has only strengthened its castle since the 13th century.

We arrived in Monte Carlo for just one day from Genoa with a change in Ventimiglia. I was lucky to buy two tickets for a high-speed train for the price of one for 32 euros (I don’t even know what kind of promotion they had), but this was just the best price for such a distance - two tickets would have been expensive.

Finding the palace is not difficult - from the railway station to the right, 20 minutes walk along the embankment, then you need to climb the hill. There are steps and an elevator - as you wish. The palace is divided into two parts - one for visiting (the cost is about 8 euros, you can take an audio guide in Russian), the princely family lives in the other closed part. The whole area and area looks very nice.
There are souvenir shops, in one wing there is a museum where you can get acquainted with the history of Monaco and the Grimaldi dynasty. Here you can also see the changing of the guard, I was reminded of the changing of the guard in Prague.

From the shore, the hill and the whole palace look like a fortress, with rounded walls. And the view from the territory of the palace to the port is amazing - yachts of different sizes and colors in turquoise water - such beauty and chic.

I definitely recommend visiting, if only for the amazing photos that you can take.
