Holy Week Islands and Katic

In the middle of the bay of Petrovac are two small islands - the island of St. Nedelya and Katic. On the island of St. Nedelya there is a church of the same name, which, according to legend, protects local sailors. Several pine trees grow on Katic Island.

The islands are located almost perpendicular to the coast line, so that one covers the other if you look at them from the city beach of Petrovac, but if you go to one of the far beaches of the city, both islands are visible in all their glory.

Decoration of Petrovac
The islands of the Holy Week and Katic are undoubtedly the decoration of Petrovac. The bell rings in the chapel, in the evening it is illuminated. We sailed to the islands on a catamaran, went up to the chapel, but it was closed. If you decide to swim there, then only in slippers (a lot of hedgehogs).→
