The Tara River Canyon is located in the north of the country near the town of Zabljak. It stretches for 80 kilometers and reaches a depth of 1300 meters (the deepest canyon in Europe). The canyon is famous not only for its amazing beauty, but also attracts the attention of numerous sports and outdoor enthusiasts: rafting enthusiasts gather here in summer, and skiers in winter.

Rafting on the Tara River.
Thousands of outdoor enthusiasts come to rafting on the Tara River. In the summer, the river is not full-flowing and rafting on it is safe and accessible to almost all tourists in Montenegro, regardless of the level of training and age. Positive impressions are guaranteed.→

The views are beautiful
We went with TUI to the canyons. Beautiful! We were unlucky at the same time (the day before there was a heavy thunderstorm, so the rivers were not so radiant-turquoise, BUT JUST CHOCOLATE IN PLACES) and lucky (on the day of the excursion there was only a little rain on the road). With the TUI operator, the cost is 2 euros more expensive, but we were reassured by viber that despite the thunderstorm, the tour will take place. The guide Margo entertained us all the way: in her free time, she arranged attentiveness quizzes with gifts, taught us the Montenegrin language, even sang.→

Too many tourists
Lines of huge buses and crowds of tourists. The view is not bad, but all this excitement ...We tried the local zipline - it's not scary at all, we hoped that there would be more emotions.→

The most beautiful place
Turquoise water, mountains in the clouds...Magical photos are guaranteed! From rafting to zip-lining, there are plenty of activities, so adrenaline junkies will find something to do too!→

A place worth admiring
Nature is just incredible! Greenery, blue sky, sharp mountains and a stormy river of green-blue color! There is an option to jump off the bridge, about 100 m high. But we didn't jump→

stunning canyon
The canyon is stunning in its beauty! It is possible to fly on a cable, but for me it was too much, especially since I am terribly afraid of heights))) A beautiful panorama of the canyon opens from the Dzhurdzhevich bridge, next to this place you can have a delicious meal, many restaurants, cafes→

Beauty and grandeur!
The deepest canyon in Europe is worth seeing. Rafting on the mountain river Tara will leave an impression for a long time. Water can be drunk directly from the river. Verified personally.→
