Bonfire Diamonds is the oldest diamond factory in Amsterdam, still operating today. In 1840, M. E. Koster opened a small workshop on Waterloplein Square, since then the workshop has changed owners several times and moved to new buildings. In 2007, the Amsterdam Diamond Museum was opened at the factory.

Visiting the "best friends of all girls" :)
There are a lot of conflicting reviews on the network about the excursion to the diamond factory. I'll add mine to the "must watch! " Why? Firstly, Amsterdam has been called the unofficial capital of the diamond market in Europe for more than 400 years. Secondly, they will tell you in detail and show you what a diamond is, what types of cut exist and what the Amsterdam cut is famous for. And, thirdly, at the presentation of products with diamonds, everything can be tried on.... According to an ancient legend about stones, a diamond protects its owner, gives him strength and courage, and also protects him from sadness and evil thoughts.→

Diamond lovers.
A visit to this museum-shop we had in the plans of the bus tour. And even though the Rijksmuseum is nearby, for some reason it was not offered! It turned out to be quite interesting. In the workshop, they showed how diamonds are processed, turning them into luminous "friends of girls" - diamonds. The museums show, in the form of copies, the works of Dutch masters. It was very interesting to learn about the new cut, not 57, but 201 facets. At the museum, of course, there is a shop. Finished products and just diamonds are offered, you can insert any of them into a frame.→
