Located between the buildings of the Jagiellonian University - the College of Mayus, the College of Medicum, the College of Minus and the College of Witkowski. The first mention of the park dates back to 1467. At that time the territory of the park was much larger. Vegetables for the professor's refectory were grown here. In 1475 a poultry farm was allocated. At the end of the 18th century, university professors were relocated from the Mayus College to other premises, and the park fell into disrepair. From 1840 to 1871, during the restoration of the Mayus Collegium, the park area was used for storage of building materials. At the end of the XIX century the park was transferred to the Faculty of Botany, which laid out a small botanical garden with up to 300 species of plants.

In 1908, a large part of the park was allocated for the construction of the Vitkovsky Collegium. From that time until the 1960s, this area was in decline.
In 2009, the restoration of the park began at the expense of the Public Committee for the Restoration of Monuments of Krakow and the Jagiellonian University. The paths were asphalted, benches were installed and lighting was installed.

Five interactive models of scientific instruments have been installed in the park, each of which symbolizes a certain stage in the development of the Jagiellonian University. The 15th and 16th centuries represent the sundial and the armillary sphere. The Magdeburg hemispheres symbolize the opening of the university's physics classrooms. The meteorological station dates back to the 19th century, when meteorological research began at the Jagiellonian University. The twentieth century features a cyclotron and a scintillation counter for measuring cosmic radiation. On May 12.2010 the park was open for free visit.
