Located between the buildings of the Jagiellonian University - the College of Mayus, the College of Medicum, the College of Minus and the College of Witkowski. The first mention of the park dates back to 1467. At that time the territory of the park was much larger. Vegetables for the professor's refectory were grown here. In 1475 a poultry farm was allocated. At the end of the 18th century, university professors were relocated from the Mayus College to other premises, and the park fell into disrepair.

The Novum Collegium is the main building of the Jagiellonian University. Built on the site of the Jerusalem bursa, which burned down in the mid-nineteenth century. This Gothic house was built in 1883-1887 according to the design of Felix Kshezharsky. Here is the administration of the Jagiellonian University, deans 'faculties, finance department, administration, professors' offices and lecture halls. In the assembly hall there are portraits of many prominent professors, including Jó zef Dietl and Jó zef Shujski, as well as Jan Matejko's painting "Astronomer Copernicus, or a Conversation with God", which depicts Nicolaus Copernicus while exploring the sky.

The oldest university in Poland was founded by King Casimir the Great in 1364. After years of decline, King Wladyslaw Jagiello resumed its activities in 1400, and therefore the university is called Jagiellonian. Currently, about 50.000 students study at 16 faculties. The main buildings of the university are called colleges and are located in different parts of Krakow. Some are under 500 years old, others - about 100. The oldest - the College of Mayus. In addition, there is the Minus Collegium, the Novum Collegium, the Juridicum Collegium, and the Medicum Collegium.
