The Rakovitska cemetery was founded in 1803. The cemetery is a burial place for both ordinary residents of Krakow and famous representatives of the Polish intelligentsia. Polish writers, musicians, scientists, representatives of famous families, independence fighters, political and public figures, participants in Polish uprisings, victims of world wars are buried on it. The cemetery has significant historical and artistic value.
