The New Town Market Square was built almost at the same time as the Old Town, but its architecture and form date back to the 17th and 18th centuries. Its form is particularly distinctive. Originally it was a large square, crossed diagonally by a road. In the 17th century, the area was very attractive, and the land north of the road was simply built up. The rest of the square became the New Town Market Square with its unusual triangular shape. It is relatively small, sloping down towards the monastery and church. An old fountain and a pair of bear sculptures attract attention. The square is surrounded by the Church of St. Casimir, the Monastery of the Sacraments, administrative buildings and residential buildings. All buildings were significantly damaged during World War II and were restored in 1945-1960.
