Lisbon tram number 28

Eléctrico 28, Lisbon Tram 28, Lisbon Tram Line 28
Portugal, Lisbon
Tram route 28 is considered to be the oldest and longest route in Lisbon, it runs through the entire center, the old districts and past many of the city's iconic sights. This route starts from Piazza Martim Moniz, runs through the quarters of Alfama, Chiado, Bairro Alta, Estrela and ends at Campo de Ourico. The duration of the journey along the route is about 45 minutes, and tickets can be bought in the car from the driver or at the ticket office. Only old wooden trailers go along this route, which have been modernized only in the technical part regarding the engine and brakes - otherwise they look like a hundred years ago.
Tram 28 is very popular not only among tourists but also among locals and is one of the best ways to get to know Lisbon.

Lisbon has a developed transport infrastructure, but the old yellow trams noisily passing through its narrow and steep streets give this city a special charm and charm. The most popular route of the capital of Portugal is tram number 28, which passes through the entire historical center and the main attractions of the city. The tram route covers very beautiful places, such as: Commerce Square, Se Cathedral, St. George's Castle, Santa Luzia Viewpoint, Basilica da Estrela and much more. The old wooden trailers of tram 28 were technically modernized, but their original external and internal appearance was preserved to the maximum.
