Ethnographic village of Qatar

Katara Cultural Village
Qatar, Doha
The ethnographic village "Katara" is located in the city of Doha, and its name is a direct reference to the past of Qatar. The fact is that until the 18th century, the peninsula, now occupied by the Arab state of Qatar, was designated on maps as Qatar. The village was opened in 2010 and is a cultural complex with an amphitheater, an opera house, a cinema, art galleries and, of course, an oriental bazaar. In addition, there are a number of restaurants with traditional national cuisine, as well as a well-maintained beach.

You can get to this "village" in Doha by taxi and by metro, to the Qatar station. Huge walking area. A beautiful natural oasis, a strange impression - in absolute silence you listen to the birds singing and look at the skyscrapers of a noisy metropolis! There is a beach, there is a cafe, some kind of gallery and 2 buildings of a very bizarre shape. One, like a falcon's hat, and the other in the form of a huge gift, apparently a shopping center. The amphitheater is empty. I think there are still some activities going on there.
