Sapadere Canyon

The mountain village of Sapadere is located 48 km northeast of Alanya and 20 km from Demirtas. Between 2007 and 2008, walking paths were built in the Sapadere Canyon by the municipality. It has a restaurant and several small shops.
The Serde River dries up in this area by July and there is only enough water for the upper village fields. In Sapadera, the flow of water is continuous throughout the year and it feeds the villages during the dry season. You can go down to the water along the stairs in the canyon. The water reaches a maximum temperature of 12 degrees during the warmest time of the year. At the end of the 600 m long walking path there is a waterfall.

Liked it a lot
We were in Alanya in September 2016 and, of course, we could not help but go to the Sapadere Canyon, about which I read a lot of interesting things. The trip is definitely interesting and necessary. Includes a visit to the Jugeler Cave along the way, where you feel like a little gnome. And in the canyon itself, you want to stay for a long time: peace, tranquility, the incredible beauty of the mountains and small waterfalls. I will definitely come back here again to swim in the canyon baths. Children will be very interesting and informative this trip.→

Lovers of waterfalls and nature
A wonderful canyon in the resort area of ​ ​ Alanya, which can be reached by jeep...Safari! What could be more exciting? There are a lot of waterfalls in the canyon. Traveling through it will not be difficult for you - there is a wooden bridge along the entire route. I really liked it→
