I visited the Demre-Mira-Kekova tour in mid-May 2015.
We went from Mahmutlar (a village beyond Alanya), of course it was far away ((and we spent a lot of time on the road, but it was comfortable, and the bus was good, and we made stops when necessary ...and it was worth it!
A cool excursion, worth the money, very interesting, useful, broadens horizons, lovers of history and nature will like it. If you have not been and there will be such an opportunity to go - go - you will learn a lot of new things and diversify your stay on vacation at the hotel.
If I write briefly, I will say that everything according to the program is clearly and organized, a good guide, constantly told information about places, figures, etc.
We started the tour with a boat trip. Well, it’s standard - we rode, swam and sailed over the place where you could see the remains of the ancient city ...it’s not long, the beautiful landscapes around with children are generally fun)
Then we went for lunch, and after that we arrived at the church-museum where St. Nicholas lived. This is a unique place, the atmosphere here really helps to cleanse the soul or something, we were near his sarcaphagus.
And at the end of the tour - the coolest thing, I probably liked it the most - these are the Lycian ancient tombs in the rocks. I had never seen this before and was impressed. Everywhere everything is ancient, the remains of any architecture.
Excursion for 5+ Recommended! The day was a success then, but there are still pleasant memories and a lot of photos)
