In general, the tour is interesting, but one big minus, the entrance to the church is paid, it costs 70 liras, and the guides who go there with tourists collect 110 liras for the entrance ticket. Be careful, do not hand over money to the guides, you need to go to the ticket office and buy it yourself, 110 lira costs a ticket with an audio guide, 70 regular entrance ticket.

The best excursion, took the whole day, but during this day we visited: 1) City of Peace, Church of St. Nicholas. Everything is very well preserved, beautiful. I advise you to buy icons inside the church, it is 4 times cheaper there. 2) Demre, an amphitheater, burial places of ancient rich people in the mountains. We were brought to some hotel for lunch, so-so, our hotel is hundreds of times better, but we were warned. 3) Kekova island, flooded city, boat trip, swam in a chic bay. Then they brought us to the store, gave us a drink, we are delighted, there are no words.

In the city of Demre (the ancient city of the World) there is a temple in which the remains of St. Nicholas were buried. The place is impressive and gives those who pray sincerely the fulfillment of desires, I believe that every Orthodox should visit this place.

Worth to visit. Necessarily!! ! I recommend you go on your own. Look and feel everything calmly and without running around. We went ourselves, from Kemer, on a dolmush (their "minibus") The road is interesting, but tiring. As soon as you enter the temple, goosebumps are provided! Even my daughter, 3.5 years old, herself wanted to write a note to grandfather Nikolai. One upset, the prices in the icon shops are VERY !! ! expensive (((

Good afternoon! The tour is AMAZING!! ! We were taken in a comfortable bus with air conditioning...the guide told us everything very cheerfully and provocatively, so it was impossible to fall asleep there) After visiting the tomb of St. Nicholas (I cried near it ....I don’t know, tears flowed down my cheeks on their own). We were fed and we went further ...but already on the water! I am overwhelmed with impressions!! ! The water is blue blue! Eye-catching!!! ! There will be an opportunity to swim and take pictures in it !! !.

If the purpose of your trip is a pilgrimage, and it is very important for you to visit the world's first church of St. Nicholas, where he served and was buried (ATTENTION - his relics were transported to Italy and the sarcophagus behind glass in the temple is just a place where his relics were once lay!!! ! ) then most likely you will like it, but for everyone else it will be boring and not interesting, at least who will get the guide Latif !! ! On the way from the airport to the hotel, the transferman praised the Demre-Mira-Kekova excursion (visiting 3 ancient places at once), the hotel guide, whom we met the next day upon arrival, also praised very much, the cost was $ 2.

Very interesting! Special thanks to the guide (Davud). The tour cost $40 for two. Picturesque mountain roads, Mount Olympos, sailed on a yacht almost completely sunken city (Kekova), offered shrimp ($5), crabs ($5), assorted ($7). Tasty! Visit the city of Peace: tombs, amphitheater! They also offer to buy very beautiful, but expensive icons ($200.300 and more). A visit to the Church of St. Nicholas is a kind of pilgrimage! Then we were taken to Adali Onyx. They handed out discontinuous coupons: part remains, and part you give away.

WORLD - DEMRE - KEKOVA (important - not to be confused with Limira - Demre - Kekova (this is a fake, that is, in Turkey, in addition to fakes of well-known companies, there are also fake excursions !! ! )) The cost is $25. The rule to take water with you and a couple of sandwiches or boiled eggs from breakfast remains! This is one of the most interesting excursions from a historical point of view (a trip to the lands of the ancient state of Lycia, a visit to the ancient sunken city (Kekovva island) and the Greco-Roman theater (Mira city), etc.

I visited the Demre-Mira-Kekova tour in mid-May 2015. We went from Mahmutlar (a village beyond Alanya), of course it was far away ((and we spent a lot of time on the road, but it was comfortable, and the bus was good, and we made stops when necessary ...and it was worth it! A cool excursion, worth the money, very interesting, useful, broadens horizons, lovers of history and nature will like it. If you have not been and there will be such an opportunity to go - go - you will learn a lot of new things and diversify your stay on vacation at the hotel.

We bought an excursion to Demre-Kekov, without the World. In the church of St. Nicholas in Demre, it was not interesting, shabby walls, a bunch of restorers, crowds of people, it was dark. We listened to the guide and in our free time, given to wandering around the church, we went outside to get magnets, which, by the way, are more expensive than in other cities. We drank delicious freshly squeezed orange juice for a dollar and bought cookies for the road. Then we went with a group to the pier in the city of Finike, loaded onto an old "yacht" smelling of gasoline and set sail for Kekova.
