Today I visited the ancient city of Phaselis and its beaches. I agree with all the rave reviews. The place is really very beautiful. But everything is in order.
We got from Kemer by a local minibus. They asked if an antique was going to Phaselis, and paid 4.5 Turkish lira per person for the trip. The bus brings you directly to the entrance gate. Entrance fee is 20 lire per person. You have to pay for all the pleasures in life : ). On the way (not very stressful, the road passes through a pine forest) we descended directly into the ruins of the ancient city themselves. Walk about 10-15 minutes. On the way, you can look at the ancient sarcophagi lying around.
And here you have an amazingly beautiful bay with the remains of an aqueduct. More than two thousand years these monuments of human diligence. Walk through the remains of the ancient city. Although the amphitheater is smaller than in Ostia Antica, the views from its upper platforms are simply breathtaking.
The gate, through which the emperor Hadrian allegedly entered this city, has not yet been restored, perhaps after some time it will be possible to admire them (excavations are underway).
Phaselis beach is very different from the beaches of Kemer, I would compare it with the city beach in Larnaca (Cyprus). Nice sand under your feet and a gentle entry into the sea, for the kids it's the best.
We got over the hill to the second beach, there are already pebbles when entering the sea and immediately deep, although there is sand on the beach itself.
