Goynuk Canyon

Goynuk Canyon, Göynük kanyonu, Goynuk Canyon, Goynuk Canyon
Turkey, Kemer
The distance from Kemer to the Goynuk resort is 7 kilometers. To get to the Goynuk Canyon on your own, it is best to rent a bike. There is a good signposted road in Olympos Park that will lead directly to the Goynuk Canyon.
At the canyon it is necessary to rent special equipment, without which they are not allowed further to the waterfalls: rubber boots, a strong helmet and a vest with or without a wetsuit. The water in the gorge is quite cold, and the bottom is rocky. In some parts of the canyon, you can travel by boat, but the main path will have to be overcome on foot.
The height of the walls of the canyon in some places reaches 350 meters, and the depth of the river sometimes exceeds 6 meters.

Visited the canyon with a young man on a trip to Turkey. I really liked the beauty of this place. Worth a visit to enjoy all the diversity of nature in this country. We traveled on our own by public transport.

The tour went as a present from the tour desk, for having bought two tours from them. The tour consisted in the fact that you are taken by bus from the bureau to the entrance to the canyon, you pay the entrance ticket and they say you will return in 4 hours. We walked and admired the beauties, took pictures, climbed to the entrance to the canyon (where you need to wear suits with helmets), swam in the lake and went back.

Very good place to stay )) The nature is amazing ) We got there on quad bikes ) It was that trip: mountains, nature, drive, emotions, uhhhu! ) So many impressions in one trip will be remembered for a lifetime) It was really cool) We drove there for about 30 minutes) Then we stopped at the canyon itself) Unreal beauty, lake, birdsong, mountains, rocks, silence, nature... You immediately plunge into the crazy atmosphere of connection with nature. This place is a must to visit, especially to ride ATVs.

By rental car we drove to a free parking lot in front of the entrance. Then we paid $2 for the entrance and $12 for wetsuits, walked 500 meters on foot, to the jeep, in which we were taken to the descent into the canyon. I can’t imagine what a pleasure it is to drag yourself there on foot in the heat. Having spent all your strength in this area, you wouldn’t have enough strength for the most interesting part - the canyon itself. At the beginning you need to swim 100 meters, but dressed in life jackets, this part was easily overcome even by those who cannot swim.

We walked directly from the Mirage park resort located in Goynuk. Everyone will show you the way, it’s easy to find and walk (we walked through the village to the mosque, and followed it right through the village). The place is beautiful, it was not hot to go; you can take a walk in the canyon for a walk several times during a week of rest. Around the pine trees, the air is like a giant aroma lamp, in both lakes the water is cold, but we swam in the lower one, it is a couple of degrees warmer, and in the upper one we only walked with our feet.

We went to the Goynuk canyon ourselves. Behind the clock tower (Kemer) we passed through the bridges near the fountains, crossed the road there was a stop. Any bus to Antalni, runs every 10 min, no. seems to be 07 KA. The driver was told that we need a canyon - it's in the bag. The bus goes around the entire village of Goynuk (min 10) and leaves for the highway, carefully look out the window, when you just cross the bridge over the dry riverbed (not narrow enough), get up immediately, on the opposite side there will be a sign to the canyon.

GOYNYUK CANYON… Goynuk is an ancient settlement and resort in the vicinity of Kemer. The distance from Kemer to the Goynuk resort is 7 kilometers. The village and resort of Goynuk is located near the Olympos National Park. One of the most beautiful natural attractions of this resort and Olympos park is the Goynuk river and canyon, which in Turkish means “fertile valley”. Around this valley are the Turkish Bedaglar Mountains. A river flows from these mountains, creating various gorges and rocks on its way.

A very beautiful place! Nature, mountain river, mountains, cliffs...Very cool. And for only 3$ / 6TL. If you're lucky, you can see a lot of animals. Turtles, rabbits, etc. Wild national reserve for ridiculous money. Not cluttered by tourists, because company tours are not brought here. Only who knows. Can be reached from the highway on foot. Or a taxi. You can use a rented bike or electric moped. From the main road 4 km. And inside it is 3 km long. At the very end, for a fee, you can walk on the water to the waterfall! T.
